What is taxi dispatch software?
Taxi dispatch software is what a taxi or private hire office uses to take bookings and send each job to a driver. Without it, a dispatcher has to call round on the radio or phone to find out who is free and nearby. The software already knows which drivers are logged on, where they are and which are busy, so it can offer each job to the most suitable driver straight away.

Dispatch that runs itself
Automatic dispatch is only the start. The system works through the small decisions that normally keep a controller busy all day.
- Booking validation. Each new booking is checked against driver availability and learned journey times, so the office does not promise pickups nobody can reach. If no driver can make it, workable alternatives are suggested.
- Cancellation back-fill. When a cancellation frees a slot, a later unassigned ASAP job that fits can be brought forward.
- Staffing early-warning. Historic busy periods are compared with who is rostered, so a short-staffed slot is flagged before it happens.
- Self-managing drivers. Drivers who do not respond are skipped, break reminders go out and drivers left logged in can be taken offline after hours.
- Ask, don't search. A built-in voice assistant answers questions such as "who is nearest to the station?"
